What is Gynostemma？

Gynostemma (Scientific name: Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Thunb.) Makino) is a herbaceous climber of the genus Cucurbitaceae; the stem is weak, branched, with longitudinal ribs and grooves, glabrous or sparsely pubescent. In Japan, it is known as Gynostemma.
